The charm of Toro wines is expressed in a contemporary proposal, both in its essence and presentation. Abracadabra 2023 is made with tinta de toro, the emblematic variety of the region, sourced from organic vineyards over 80 years old. Its 12-month aging in barrels provides depth and character. This wine embodies the authenticity of D.O. Toro, with old vines cultivated in dry farming on poor soils, where the roots must delve deep to capture the minerals that later translate into a glass full of nuances.

General Information

Abracadabra 2023 originates from 80-year-old Tinta de Toro vines, cultivated organically and with respect for the environment. After malolactic fermentation in barrels, it aged for 12 months in barrels.

With a clear vision from the beginning and a philosophy based on the best wine heritage growing in the Denominación de Origen Toro, Máximo San José de la Rosa launched the family winery project Divina Proporción in 2009. The winery, located in the Toro region, now has 30 hectares of its own vineyards and manages 100 more, thanks to agreements with various local winegrowers who strictly follow the organic, sustainable, and ecological principles dictated by the Toro-based winery.

The vineyards of Bodegas y Viñedos Divina Proporción are located within a 5-kilometer radius around the winery, in the style of Bordeaux châteaux, ensuring that the grapes arrive intact at the winery during the harvest process. Divina Proporción has connected with the market through a range of wines with striking and original names and images: Abracadabra, Madremía, 24 Mozas, Loquillo, or Platón. An aura of modernity that harmonizes with the return to origins practiced in the vineyard.

The red Abracadabra 2023 (D.O. Toro) pairs perfectly with dishes such as judiones de la Granja or pisto manchego.

The winery

Bodegas y Viñedos Divina Proporción

Located in the region of Toro, Bodegas y Viñedos Divina Proporción was founded in 2009 as a small, family-owned company led by Máximo San José de la Rosa. Two years later, in 2011, it launched its first wine on the market. A functional winery with the capacity to process half a million kilos of grapes. The vineyards, 25 hectares owned by the winery, surround the facilities in the style of the Bordeaux 'châteaux.' Vineyards of the Tinta de Toro variety, some of which are nearly a century old.
