Crápula Wines is the personal project of Gabriel Martínez, a native of Jumilla. Trained in Business Administration and Management and previously employed in the banking sector, he decided to make the leap into the wine world, his true passion. He went on to develop commercial management and marketing roles in wineries in Jumilla and Rioja, until in 2008 he created his own project under the name Crápula Wines. Initially, he performed the functions of a ‘negociant,’ finding markets for wines purchased from other producers, until he eventually took a step further and began producing his own wines.
Before that, Gabriel Martínez searched for and purchased 8 hectares of exceptional vineyards, located 8 km from Jumilla and situated at 600 meters above sea level. With their fruits, as well as others acquired from local winegrowers who own high-quality vineyards, he produces his Crápula wines (D.O. Jumilla). These red wines, despite their short history, have already carved out an important place in the international market.
