Château Rocheyron

Just over three and a half kilometers from the center of Saint-Émilion, in the town of Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes, stands Château Rocheyron, the winery of Danish winemaker Peter Sisseck, creator of Pingus, the legendary wine from Ribera del Duero.

In 2010, Sisseck and his friend, Silvio Denz, a perfume designer, art collector, and owner of Art and Fragrance and Lalique, purchased the châteu with a clear purpose: to produce great Bordeaux wines that truly reflect the exceptional terroir of their origin.

Less than a decade has passed since then, and the creations of Château Rocheyron already shine for their intensity, complexity, great elegance, and distinction. This is thanks, first and foremost, to the fantastic vineyard from which they come, spanning 8.45 hectares, planted next to the Grand Cru Classé Château Laroque, on a limestone plateau, and composed of vines with an average age of over 45 years (some even exceeding 80 years) of merlot (70%) and cabernet franc (30%).

The absolute precision of the work carried out, both in the vineyards (following the principles of organic viticulture) and later in the winery, ultimately gives Château Rocheyron wines all the splendor and weight characteristic of one of the most prestigious wine-producing regions in the world: the Bordeaux region of Saint-Émilion.
