Celler Credo is the winemaking project of the Recaredo family in Alt Penedès. This team began producing white wine in 1990, and two decades later, their repertoire has expanded significantly, with wines made from the xarel·lo grape, following a philosophy based on respect for the environment and biodynamics.
Celler Credo is the only winery established in the Denomination of Origin Penedès that works exclusively with the native white variety xarel·lo. This project explores and delves into the virtues and characteristics of this variety.
The winery owns the Pedra Blanca estate, located in Subirats, in Alt Penedès. It is a unique area, spanning 8 hectares, cultivated following the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture.
The Mediterranean variety xarel·lo is the narrative thread of the wines from the Credo winery project. These are white wines aged on lees, macerated with the skins or stems, made without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides, but with a commitment to producing terroir-driven wines.
