Volaina 2022 showcases the freshness and delicacy of the Mediterranean variety parellada, cultivated in the vineyards of Pla de Manlleu, over 500 meters above sea level. This fantastic white wine also supports the Catalan Butterfly Monitoring Scheme project, which studies butterflies (volainas) as bioindicators. A terroir wine with very good acidity and balance.

Volaina 2022 is the result of the collaboration between Celler de Credo and the farmers of Penedés who work under sustainable agriculture, respecting identity, territory, and landscape. It is made entirely from Parellada grapes sourced from two vineyards located in the municipality of Aiguamúrcia, in Plau de Manlleu, the heart of the Alt Penedés. Fresh, expressive, and balanced.
The winery Celler Credo is the winemaking project of the Recaredo family, which has been producing small batches of white wine since 1990. Celler Credo owns the Pedra Blanca estate, located in Subirats, in the Alt Penedés. It is a unique place, spanning 8 hectares, cultivated using organic and biodynamic farming methods.
The harvest of this biodynamic white wine from the D.O. Penedés is carried out manually to ensure optimal grape selection and certify its quality. During production, alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts, followed by six months of aging in the same tank. Volaina 2022 is ideal for pairing with all kinds of appetizers, Asian cuisine, grilled vegetables, baked white fish, and smoked dishes.

Pale straw yellow color, clean and bright.
Medium intensity on the nose, with notes of phosphorus, white fruit, and wild herbs.
On the palate, it is balanced, fresh due to its good acidity, and with a fine bitter finish.

Celler Credo is the only winery established in the Denomination of Origin Penedès that works exclusively with the native white variety xarel·lo. This project explores and delves into the virtues and characteristics of this variety.
