Western Cape
W.O. Western Cape is a broad geographical area established in 1993, similar to our geographical indications Vino de la Tierra, encompassing the southern-southwestern zone of the South African country. A region with a great winemaking tradition, with evidence of production dating back to 1659, accounting for around 80% of South Africa's wine production.

Soil
In the coastal area, sandstone and granite soils are abundant; while in the interior, fluvial deposits of granite and other materials tend to predominate.
