Imbuko Wines

Imbuko Wines stands on the Uitkyk farm, near Wellington, in the heart of the Boland vineyards. Its co-founder and CEO, Theunis van Zyl, has been part of the South African wine industry for more than 30 years. Imbuko, the first label of this winery, means "admiration for" in Xhosa, one of South Africa's eleven official languages and the mother tongue of Nelson Mandela. The winemaking estate of Imbuko is located on one of the few farms that cultivate rootstocks, not only for their own use but also for a large part of the South African wine industry.
