Description of their own wines
We have upheld our commitment to Jean Leon by preserving his legacy through estate wines and have launched new wine ranges tailored to new consumer segments, such as the 3055 range or the experimental limited editions. Likewise, the winery's commitment to sustainability is absolute, currently producing all wines with organic certification.
Professional career

Mireia Torres began her training at the Chemical Institute of Sarrià in Barcelona, where she graduated in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Analysis in 1994. In 1995, she enrolled at the École National Supérieure Agronomique de Montpellier, where she obtained a diploma in oenology and viticulture. During these additional studies, she completed professional internships at other wineries, increasing her experience in the sector. Mireia deepened her technical knowledge and know-how at the company Derypol, a manufacturer of resins and flocculants, where she worked in the R&D Department between 1997 and 1998. In 1999, she joined the family company (Familia Torres) in the analysis laboratory, carrying out projects related to the study of wine aromas. The following year, she took charge of the R&D+i area, developing new products such as wines made from ancestral varieties or dealcoholized wines (Natureo).

Among several projects, it is worth highlighting her leadership from 2008 to 2012 of the first major consortium of the Spanish wine sector, Cenit Deméter, composed of 26 companies, aimed at improving knowledge of the effects of climate change. After several years combining the role of oenologist and head of R&D+i, in 2004, she assumed the position of Technical Director of the company for six years. During this period, she was responsible for the production and management of the main winery in Vilafranca del Penedès, as well as for the development and implementation of projects in Ribera del Duero, Priorat, Rioja, and Rueda. Currently, Mireia Torres Maczassek is Director of the Innovation and Knowledge Area at Bodegas Torres, Director of Jean Leon, President of the Familia Torres Foundation, and President of the Wine Technology Platform (a non-profit organization that promotes and drives research in the Spanish wine sector).
