Professional career
In 1973, he and his wife set up an oenology laboratory in Libourne (Bordeaux), a company that he still runs today and through which samples from nearly a thousand wineries pass annually. Additionally, he advises dozens of wine companies across the five continents. Today, he is considered the most sought-after oenologist on the planet.

Training
Graduated in Viticulture and Oenology in Bordeaux. He studied under the guidance of renowned oenologists such as Pierre Sudraud, Pascal Ribéreau-Gayon, or Émile Peynaud.
