Professional career
Gabriel Martínez, born in Jumilla and educated in Business Administration and Management, decided to transition from the banking sector to the wine world, his true passion. He went on to develop his career in commercial management and marketing at wineries in Jumilla and Rioja, until in 2008 he created his own project under the name Crápula Wines.
Initially, he worked as a ‘negociant,’ finding markets for wines purchased from other producers, until he eventually took a step further and began crafting his own wines. Before that, Gabriel Martínez sought out and purchased 8 hectares of exceptional vineyards, located 8 km from Jumilla and situated at an altitude of 600 meters. With their grapes, along with others acquired from local winegrowers who own high-quality vineyards, he produces his wines Crápula (D.O. Jumilla).
