When César Muñoz waves his magic wand, those quality grapes that enter the wineries where he works as an enólogo produce an almost divine elixir. Born in León (1967), this "alchemist" of tempranillo discovered his passion for viticulture at a young age. His professional life began under the fantastic umbrella of Château Montus and Bouscassé in the Madiran production area. When he crossed the Pyrenees, it was to join the most renowned national wine temple, learning at Vega Sicilia under the great Mariano García. On his own, he is responsible for and the creator of important brands in our wine scene, such as Bienvenida, César Príncipe, Cyan, Leda, Bohórquez, or Montebaco; all of them crafted with a significant or exclusive base of tempranillo (tinto fino). His personal project, since 2005, is called Selección César Muñoz. Since 2015-2016, he has been the enological director of the Grupo Chivite.
