Moscato d'Asti

D.O.C.G. Moscato d'Asti is the designation of origin that distinguishes the famous Moscato from Piedmont, one of the most appreciated wines in Italy. Although the cradle of this production area is the city of Asti, it also includes nearly 50 municipalities in the provinces of Cuneo, Asti, and Alessandria, covering 9,700 hectares of vineyards of the Moscato variety, also known as Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains.

The Moscato d’Asti born from these grapes is a sweet white wine, with low alcohol content, remarkable freshness, and elegant floral and stone fruit aromas, often the perfect companion for all kinds of desserts. Within the same D.O.C.G., there is also Asti Spumante, a sweet sparkling wine, which, along with Prosecco and Lambrusco, is one of the most exported wines produced in Italy.
