Grenaches du Monde
The Interprofessional Council of Roussillon Wines organized in 2013 the first competition dedicated exclusively to the garnacha grape. This initiative was born in Roussillon but travels each year to different wine-producing regions. Every year, more wineries participate in this contest, which aims to promote high-quality wines made from all garnacha varieties and to stimulate the production and consumption of this variety on an international level.
Jury
A jury of wine professionals and influencers from around 15 different countries blind taste the wines entered into the competition.
Contestants
All blend wines predominantly (>51%) made from the Garnacha variety, from all categories (sparkling, still, fortified, natural sweet wines, liqueur wines, etc.) and from all nationalities.
Awards
Gold, silver, and bronze.
