Effervescents du Monde is an international competition that annually rewards the best sparkling wines in the world. It is a qualitative competition known for its methodological rigour and global scope: it brings together samples from more than 20 countries and is held under strict international tasting standards. Its objective is to guarantee diversity, quality and excellence in the sparkling wine category.
This prestigious international competition, organised by the Forum Œnologie Association, awards each year the best sparkling wines in the world. With a jury of more than 80 international experts and a rigorous tasting method, its Gold and Silver medals are a guarantee of quality and excellence—recognition that places the awarded wines among the global elite.
The competition is organised by the Forum Œnologie Association, which also runs other international contests such as Chardonnay du Monde and Muscats du Monde.
The jury is composed of more than 80 international experts, with at least 50% of tasters coming from outside France. All judges receive methodological training at the Institut Paul Bocuse, and the organisation guarantees optimal tasting conditions (sensory isolation, appropriate pace) and secure handling of results.
The competition awards Gold and Silver medals as recognition of quality.
