General Information

Viña Sol Blanco 2023 is the latest vintage of a wine that first saw the light in the summer of 1962 to become a Mediterranean classic.

Bodegas Torres produces this white ecológico wine with a fine citrus aroma and delicate palate from a strict selection of parellada and garnacha blanca, two of the traditional varieties of the D.O. Catalunya. Both varieties were harvested separately in a vintage that, due to the particular climatic conditions of that year, with a cool and very rainy spring and a mild summer, produced high-quality grapes, resulting in a wine with marked freshness and aromaticity.

Viña Sol Blanco 2023 is a vegan-friendly wine that is an excellent choice to accompany fresh cheeses, all kinds of fish and seafood, seafood paellas, and white meats like chicken and turkey.

Tasting notes

In appearance, Viña Sol Blanco has a light, clean, and bright golden hue.

On the nose, it is fresh and fruity, with fine citrus aromas.

On the palate, it is silky. Its subtle acidity and delicate mouthfeel are surprising.

The winery

The Torres surname has been linked to winemaking in the Penedès region since the 17th century, although the official founding date of the winery is set in 1870. Generation after generation, this company, based in Vilafranca del Penedès (Barcelona), has remained in family hands, becoming today, quite possibly, the most well-known Spanish winery in the world, with a presence in over 150 countries. A winery with a portfolio of globally renowned brands.
