General Information

Viña Pedrosa Reserva 2020 is made from bush-trained Tempranillo vineyards owned by the winery in one of the best areas of Ribera del Duero: the surroundings of Pesquera de Duero (Burgos). These are 50-year-old vines located at an altitude of 840 m on clay-limestone soils, which provide low yields of high quality and are harvested by hand. Furthermore, it is backed by an excellent vintage, rated as Excellent in this appellation, whose wines are characterized by their freshness, balance, and abundance of fruity notes.

The aging of this Reserva lasted 24 months in barrels of American and French oak, followed by a minimum of 12 months of resting in the bottle.

With more than four decades of history, the Hermanos Pérez Pascuas winery continues to maintain the family character with which it was conceived. The three Pérez Pascuas brothers (Benjamín, Manuel, and Adolfo) were pioneers in betting on Ribera del Duero as a quality wine region. Thus, in 1980, they separated from the cooperative in their hometown, Pedrosa de Duero (Burgos), to establish their own winery and supported the creation of the new Denomination of Origin.

Hermanos Pérez Pascuas is today one of the most important wineries in Ribera del Duero and a brand of international prestige. It is one of the few wineries in Ribera del Duero that manages to be self-sufficient, relying on 120 hectares of its own vineyards.

Viña Pedrosa Reserva 2020 (D.O. Ribera del Duero) will be a perfect companion for hearty meat stews such as braised ox cheek or a rich potato stew with ribs and beef shank.

The winery

Hermanos Pérez Pascuas
The three brothers Pérez Pascuas (Benjamín, Manuel, and Adolfo) were pioneers in championing Ribera del Duero as a region for producing quality wines. Thus, in 1980, they separated from the cooperative in their hometown, Pedrosa de Duero (Burgos), to establish their own winery and supported the creation of the new Denomination of Origin, participating in the foundation of the Regulatory Council in 1982. Today, Hnos. Pérez Pascuas - popularly known as Viña Pedrosa - is one of the most important wineries in Ribera del Duero and a prestigious international brand, recognized as one of the world's top 100 wineries in 2013 by the influential American magazine ‘Wine&Spirits’.

True to a philosophy that focuses on working exclusively with their own vineyards: one of the oldest vineyards in Ribera del Duero, passed down through generations; and which preserves its family character.
