This prestigious firm never makes wines with anyone else – another reason why this one is so unique. Viña Pedrosa Colección 2022, designed in conjunction with Vinoselección’s technical experts, is a single-varietal made from Tempranillo grapes that provides a foretaste of the firm’s famous Crianza. A wine very true to the Viña Pedrosa style that’s fruit forward and superbly barrel aged.

General Information
Viña Pedrosa Colección 2022 is the new wine we’ve designed jointly with one of the most important wineries in the country: Hermanos Pérez Pascuas. It’s been created exclusively from Tempranillo grapes and has been aged for 13 months in American and French oak barrels. A special wine that pays tribute to the Pérez Pascuas family tradition and to the area it comes from, Ribera del Duero. In short, the fullest expression of Viña Pedrosa, exclusively for Vinoselección.
In 1980, two years before the D.O. was established, brothers Benjamín, Manuel and Adolfo Pérez Pascuas broke away from the cooperative in their home village of Pedrosa de Duero (Burgos) to set up a winery that’s been growing for more than four decades, with 120 hectares of vineyards of unquestionable quality where the red Tinto Fino or Tempranillo variety prevails.
To speak of Hermanos Pérez Pascuas and Viña Pedrosa today is to speak of one of the wineries that make a difference on the Spanish wine scene. With more than 40 years’ experience under its belt, it’s earned a reputation as a leading firm on the basis of the quality of its wines, grown on privileged vines in a legendary area of Ribera del Duero: Pedrosa de Duero, which is famous both in and outside Spain.
In 2017 we presented the result of the first collaboration between the firm’s winemakers and the Club’s technical experts: Viña Pedrosa Singular 2016 – a real milestone as it was the first time the winery had agreed to team up with external experts to create a wine. We then repeated the experience: in 2022 we presented Viña Pedrosa Colección 2020 and it was a huge hit. In 2023 we again made this very special wine from the 2021 vintage and the result was the same. And now it’s the turn of the latest 2022 edition. A red that’s ideal with meats such as fillet of pork in a reduction of forest fruit or grilled beef entrecote.
The winery
The three brothers Pérez Pascuas (Benjamín, Manuel, and Adolfo) were pioneers in championing Ribera del Duero as a region for producing quality wines. Thus, in 1980, they separated from the cooperative in their hometown, Pedrosa de Duero (Burgos), to establish their own winery and supported the creation of the new Denomination of Origin, participating in the foundation of the Regulatory Council in 1982. Today, Hnos. Pérez Pascuas - popularly known as Viña Pedrosa - is one of the most important wineries in Ribera del Duero and a prestigious international brand, recognized as one of the world's top 100 wineries in 2013 by the influential American magazine ‘Wine&Spirits’.
