General Information

Viña Esmeralda Rosé 2022 is a must-try for rosé lovers with its pale pink hues, subtle aromas of fruit and flowers, lightness on the palate and excellent value for money.

Inspired by the colour of the sea that bathes the Catalan coast, the Torres family’s white wine, Viña Esmeralda, first came out in 1976. Four decades on, in 2016, the firm brought out the first vintage of its rosé version, which, according to the famous winemaking family from Vilafranca del Penedès, recalls the aromas of the rose bushes planted around the Garnacha Tinta vines it comes from.

Viña Esmeralda Rosado 2022 is the latest vintage of a single-varietal that’s already a new Mediterranean classic due to its unquestionable quality. A fresh, sophisticated and fragrant wine produced in limited quantities that goes perfectly with light dishes such as smoked fish, sushi, salmon or tuna tataki, caprese salad, beef carpaccio or a selection of goat’s cheeses.

The winery

The Torres surname has been linked to winemaking in the Penedès region since the 17th century, although the official founding date of the winery is set in 1870. Generation after generation, this company, based in Vilafranca del Penedès (Barcelona), has remained in family hands, becoming today, quite possibly, the most well-known Spanish winery in the world, with a presence in over 150 countries. A winery with a portfolio of globally renowned brands.
