Vinoselección, on the occasion of its 45th Anniversary, has created an exclusive celebratory red wine in collaboration with one of the most prestigious wineries in Ribera del Duero: Hermanos Pérez Pascuas. Viña Pedrosa 2015 Magnum 45th Anniversary Vinoselección is crafted from a meticulous selection of the best tempranillo grapes owned by the winery, and it originates from a spectacular vintage in Ribera del Duero, rated as Excellent. The magnum format doubles its grandeur.
Viña Pedrosa is one of the cornerstones of the prestige of the D.O. Ribera del Duero. The three Pérez Pascuas brothers (Benjamín, Manuel, and Adolfo) were pioneers, more than 30 years ago, in betting on Ribera del Duero and its magnificent potential as a quality wine-producing region. The brothers, heirs to family vineyards, launched their winery—popularly known as Viña Pedrosa—and advocated for the creation of the new Denomination of Origin, participating in the founding of the Regulatory Council in 1982.
The vineyard of Hermanos Pérez Pascuas is located in Pedrosa de Duero and spans an area of 135 hectares. The predominant variety is the native tempranillo, which accounts for 90% of the cultivation. Most of the vineyard is old and bush-trained, with plantations that are up to eight decades old.
Viña Pedrosa 2015 - 45th Anniversary Vinoselección is ideal to pair with lamb dishes such as lamb Provençal or lamb stew. It can also be paired with grilled meats like a fine ox tenderloin.
Beautiful deep cherry red color of very ripe fruit with an intense garnet rim and high layer.
On the aromatic phase, it is fragrant and intense. The first notes reveal echoes of red and black fruit in jam (black plums and red cranberries), balsamic hints (mint), and cedar wood; later, aromas of cocoa and carob appear, with a subtle finish featuring nuances of yogurt whey.
On the palate, it is flavorful, meaty, and with good structure; noble and varietal tannins in the process of integration give it presence and volume as it passes through the mouth. Mid-palate is dominated by fruity and spicy sensations. Good and long final persistence marked by fruity echoes and soft toast notes.
