General Information
The cold climate and proximity to the Pacific endowed the grapes used in Veramonte Pinot Noir 2020 with freshness and good acidity, while the soils of the precordillera of the Andes provided the necessary texture and volume to make it a superb wine.
Founded in the 90s and integrated since 2015 into the prestigious Spanish group González Byass, Bodegas Veramonte is one of the most outstanding wineries in the Andean country. Its exceptional vineyard, located in the best production areas of Chile, and the practice of organic and sustainable viticulture underpin a successful trajectory of good and expressive wines like this Veramonte Pinot Noir 2020 that we bring to you. A fresh and silky single-varietal, refined by an aging of 8 months in barrels of French and neutral oak, whose perfect balance between acidity and tannins makes it the ideal wine to accompany stuffed ravioli and fatty fish like tuna.

Expressive nose of raspberry, cherry, and forest fruit aromas.
On the palate, it is delicate and smooth, with good acidity and balanced tannins. Silky texture and a fresh, rounded finish.
Creators' opinion
The 2020 harvest was a year that undoubtedly presented challenges mainly due to the high summer temperatures and low winter rainfall. This was the main reason why the harvest began several weeks earlier than usual. A different harvest, with lower yields, very aromatic, expressive, and fresh grapes, which undoubtedly imprinted their character on fresh wines, with good volume, balanced and with a long finish. Veramonte Pinot Noir 2020 shows itself to be delicate, with fresh fruit, very good acidity, and silky tannins that translate into a delicate and elegant wine.
The winery
Located in the Casablanca Valley, Chile, in a privileged area globally recognized for the quality of its wines, just 60 kilometers from Santiago, Veramonte is a place to enjoy countless wine-related activities: attractive tours, picnic areas, tastings, and an entertaining store. The winery was designed by Jorge Swinburn, one of the most renowned Chilean architects, and inaugurated in 1998. It spans 7,896 square meters and incorporates the latest technological advancements. Its design is also tailored for the production of small wine batches, allowing for the fermentation and aging of both individual vineyard productions and experimental vineyards. The vineyard, with 400 hectares planted in the valley itself, showcases lush beauty, surrounded by hills with native forests and featuring a reservoir within its grounds. At Veramonte, each of its wines is an individual expression of the soil and environment of its origin. Its objective is to be a winery with the foundation of its production and quality rooted in its vineyards. Convinced that a great wine is a reflection of the care and unique quality of its terroir, Veramonte is firmly committed to fostering this bond between the wine and its soil.
