The Rhone (southeast France) is one of the most famous French winegrowing regions. It’s currently enjoying a heyday and is proving to be a feasible alternative to the powerful Burgundy and Bordeaux wines. Due to its location in the southeast of the country, the Rhone has a much more Mediterranean profile. Grenache and Syrah, its most representative grapes, are the backbone of Vaucher Côtes du Rhône 2023, which also contains the Cinsault and Monastrell varieties. This red, aged in concrete vats, displays the finesse of the wines made in the southern part of the Rhone.

General Information

Vaucher Côtes du Rhône 2023 is highly representative of the region, a classic made from a blend of Syrah (40%), Grenache (30%), Cinsault (15%) and Monastrell (15%). The vines grow in stony and alluvial sandy soils. The wine was aged in concrete vats and combines potency and elegance with a fruit and structure.

Vaucher Père & Fils is a winery that was originally established in Nuits-Saint-Georges and focused on making Burgundy wines, though it also produces wines in other regions of France, such as the Rhone.

The Rhone is the most Mediterranean of France’s famous winegrowing regions. It’s also one of the parts of the world those traditional vineyards are best preserved and boasts valuable native varieties whose potential has been exported to the rest of the winemaking world. Take, for instance, Syrah, Grenache, Monastrell, Viognier and Roussane, to mention only the most representative.

The Rhone is home to Côtes du Rhône, an AOC (Appellation d'origine contrôlée) spanning more than 37,000 hectares of vineyards, one of the largest in France.
Vaucher Cotes du Rhône 2023 (A.O.C. Côtes du Rhône) is a vegan wine that’s exceptionally good value for money. It’s ideal with duck à l’orange or roast poussin with potatoes.
