Tan Natural 2022 is the result of blending two varieties cultivated in very distinct plots. The tempranillo grows facing Garrotxa, receiving the strong tramontana wind from the side; the syrah faces this same wind, which shapes its character. Organic farming and natural winemaking, with minimal intervention, resulted in a vibrant young red with exuberant aromaticity. A true explosion of fruit over a mineral background.

The perfect combination of freshness and fruit. This is Tan Natural 2022, an exceptional wine from the certified vineyards of Terra Remota winery, made with a well-balanced coupage of tempranillo and syrah varieties.
Tan Natural is crafted with minimal intervention, using ancestral winemaking techniques revived by Bodegas Terra Remota in their winemaking project. Terra Remota is a winery that emerged in 2006 with a fervent passion for its surroundings, developing a relationship of integration and respect for the terroir that they bring to their wines, which are organic and based on a philosophy that seeks naturalness through minimal intervention in the winemaking processes.
This red wine, very elegant despite its youth, falls under the D.O. Empordà. Tan Natural 2022 pairs well with any dish made with seasonal ingredients, such as a good pisto or a coca. It is also ideal as a complement to a mushroom scramble, a butifarra sandwich, or lamb roasts.
The wine Tan Natural boasts an intense garnet color with violet reflections.
On the nose, it is fresh and intense, very fruity (red fruits, cherry, blackberry, cassis) and spicy, with evident hints of pepper over a mineral background.
On the palate, it is straightforward, lively, and energetic. Very fruity flavors with aromas of fresh fruit, along with young and firm tannins.
Vibrant is the best word to describe this wine. Starting with the violet red that appears when pouring a glass. Or the intense and exuberant fruit like raspberries, cherries, and blueberries, along with wildflowers from l’Empordà, such as poppies and chamomile in bloom. And how can we forget that vibrant, juicy mouthfeel, with great elegance despite its youth, with a frank and energetic finish.
Bodegas Terra Remota is the winery of Marc and Emma Bournezeau, a couple of French origin but with Catalan roots (Emma's grandfather went into exile in France after the Spanish Civil War). For the family, the winery represents a return to their origins and the recovery of a lost identity. In the year 2000, they acquired some land in Empordà after realizing the excellent conditions the area offered for producing quality wines. Thus, in 2006, the family winery was founded.
The winery is located in the northeasternmost corner of the Iberian Peninsula, in the Alt Empordà region (Girona), within the D.O. Empordà. It is a unique, solitary place, a remote land, as the winery's name suggests, situated between the villages of Capmany and Sant Climent Sescebes. A modern building designed by Pepe Cortés alongside architect Nacho Ferrero, perfectly integrated with the terrain and conceived with a focus on environmental respect, technical functionality, contemporaneity, and transparency. These are the concepts that underpin their elegant and fresh wines, which clearly prioritize quality, respect for raw materials, and personalization.
The winery has an estate of 40 hectares at the foothills of the pre-Pyrenees with soils of sauló and granite. This is an interesting terrain for viticulture because, while it is not very fertile, it allows for excellent drainage.
Terra Remota operates under a philosophy of respect for the environment and nature. This is also evident in the farming practices they use to craft their excellent wines, through the organic cultivation of their vineyards.
Across the 12 well-differentiated plots of the estate, they cultivate red and white varieties of all kinds. These range from traditional varieties in the Empordà area such as Garnacha Tinta, Garnacha Blanca, and Tempranillo, to French varieties like Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay, including an experimental plot with Chenin Blanc.
