Sospechoso 2023 is a peculiar red wine made in Rioja with tempranillo grapes (60%) and tinta de Toro (40%) cultivated in the Manchega region of Manchuela. A modern and groundbreaking red created by winemaker Marcos Eguren, author of some of the best wines produced in Spain. With different label designs, served randomly.

Sospechoso 2023 is one of the wines belonging to the Uvas Felices project, in which prestigious Spanish winemakers and vintners participate, such as Miguel Ángel de Gregorio, Comando G, Ángel Lorenzo Cachazo, or the Eguren family. Sospechoso first saw the light in 2012, and behind it is the masterful hand of one of the most renowned winemakers in our country: Marcos Eguren, the fourth generation of a lineage of Rioja winegrowers and the creator of several of the best wines in our country (Teso La Monja, La Nieta, Finca El Bosque…).
Thus, Sospechoso is made with Tempranillo and Tinta de Toro grapes aged between 30 and 70 years, cultivated in Manchuela. These are quality grapes at economical costs, which allows for the production of a great wine at an affordable price, in line with the founding philosophy of the Uvas Felices project.
While the roots of Sospechoso lie in Manchuela, its shaping takes place in Rioja. The grapes were transported to be processed at Dominio de Eguren, the winery of the Eguren family located in Páganos (Rioja Alavesa). Aged for 6 months in tanks and another 6 months in French and American oak barrels,
Sospechoso 2023 is a fragrant and seductive wine on the nose, silky, enveloping, harmonious, and with a persistent finish dominated by hints of red fruit and violets. A modern red wine with a groundbreaking image, dressed with six different labels distributed randomly. It pairs perfectly with grilled meats, cured sausages, cow and sheep's milk aged cheeses, or small game dishes such as hunter-style rabbit.
