Sentada Sobre la Bestia 2019 is a balanced coupage of monastrell, tempranillo, garnacha tintorera, graciano, and malvasía, with a marked Mediterranean character. The small and young garage winery Fil.loxera & Cía produces this red wine from the fruits of a selection of micro-parcels located in the Valencian town of Fontanars dels Alforins, worked traditionally and with minimal intervention using environmentally friendly methods. The result in the glass is a young and lively wine, with a fragrant nose and a juicy, tasty, and fresh palate.
Dense and bright in appearance, with a deep cherry red color and violet reflections.
Intense and straightforward on the nose, where it unfolds sweet aromas of ripe red fruit complemented with floral notes and soft toasted nuances well integrated into the whole.
Vigorous and fresh on the palate, where the red fruits anticipated in the olfactory phase predominate. A tasty red wine with soft and mature tannins that, together with the fruit, shape its marked Mediterranean character.
Founded in 2011 in Fontanars dels Alforins (Valencia), Fil.loxera & Cía is a small winery born from the partnership of José Ramón Domenech, Pilar Esteve, and Joan B. Llobell, three friends with more than a decade of experience in the world of viticulture.
From their micro-plots located in the Clariano subzone of the D.O. Valencia, planted with monastrell, tempranillo, garnacha tintorera, and other native varieties in recovery such as arco, ull de perdiu, or valensí, come authentic garage wines with a distinctive personality, character, and absolutely original names, such as El Cordero y las Vírgenes or Beberás de la Copa de tu Hermana, inspired by the Bible, as it is one of the books with the most references to wine in history.
