The D.O. Rueda, where the sun caresses the pebbly soils and the night air enhances the aromas of the grapes, is home to a white wine that elegantly reaffirms its origins: Sanz Clásico 2024. Its secret lies in the balance between two historic grape varieties, the consistent rhythm of the vineyards of La Seca and precision winemaking at low temperatures. The result is a clean, fresh wine with lingering flavours that invites you to explore the history of one of the region’s essential wineries, Vinos Sanz

A white from Rueda with an enticing purity and mineral background notes, lovingly crafted in La Seca and designed to be enjoyed without haste.

General Information

Sanz Clásico 2024 is the purest expression of a terroir that successfully combines tradition and freshness. Made from the most delicate must and fermented at low temperatures to preserve every hint of flavour, this wine combines the personality of the Verdejo variety with the smoothness of Viura and has a harmony that will captivate you from the very first sip. Its clean flavours and natural freshness make it a perfect choice for anyone looking for authenticity without compromising on pleasure.

Behind this gem is Vinos Sanz, a historic winery that’s been shaping the wine-growing landscape of La Seca, in the heart of the Rueda region, for over 150 years. Its vineyards, planted in poor, stony soils, are the key to wines that have defined the identity of the D.O. Each bottle is the result of know-how handed down from generation to generation, with a modern approach that respects the essence of the land.

This wine is a reflection of its origins, cool nights and sunny days, and is just as enjoyable with special meals as it is at casual get-togethers. There’s no denying that Sanz Clásico 2024 is a smart choice: unquestionable quality at a surprisingly affordable price. It's perfect for pairing with fish, as well as with rice dishes containing seafood or shellfish. And if you want to hear the experts’ opinion, its track record, backed by high scores in leading guides, confirms what you’ll feel with every glass: this is a white you can’t go wrong with.

In addition to being the oldest winery in Rueda, Vinos Sanz is an essential name to understand the enormous development that this Castilian-Leonese denomination has experienced in recent decades. Founded in 1870 in La Seca (Valladolid), it was the first winery to unconditionally bet on verdejo, today considered one of the best white grape varieties in the world. Currently, the winery is managed by the sixth generation of the family and is in the midst of a commercial expansion process to conquer new markets.

Vinos Sanz bases its philosophy on preserving the maximum expression of the vineyard and meticulously caring for the winemaking process. In addition to verdejo, the undisputed queen of Rueda, the winery also cultivates sauvignon blanc – the second most important variety in the area – across its more than 100 hectares of vineyards, mostly located in Finca La Colina. This plot, with unbeatable conditions for grape growing, produces the raw material for two of the best white wines made in this country: Finca La Colina 100 x 100 Verdejo and Finca La Colina Sauvignon Blanc.
