General Information

Santa Digna Sauvignon Blanc 2023 is the latest vintage of one of the most well-known whites from Miguel Torres Chile, the winery in the Andean lands of the powerful Catalan-origin group.

Vegan and integrated into a line certified with the Fair Trade seal, which distinguishes fair trade products, this single-varietal sauvignon blanc holds the undeniable quality that earned it important awards in previous vintages, such as gold medals at the Berliner Wein Trophy 2014 and Korea Wine Challenge 2012, respectively.

In 1979, Bodegas Torres, one of the most important wine groups in Spain, made the leap to the New World to establish itself in Chile, becoming the first foreign winery in that country. Thus, Miguel Torres Chile was born, a firm that is today absolutely consolidated and a leader in the Andean market, thanks to very expressive wines with intense varietal character, of which this Santa Digna Sauvignon Blanc 2023 is a perfect example. Ideal, both as an aperitif and to accompany all kinds of baked, grilled, or stewed fish in mild sauces.

Tasting notes

Santa Digna Sauvignon Blanc boasts a delicate pale yellow color.

On the nose, it highlights aromas of ripe tropical fruits over a background of green apple and tomato leaf.

Silky mouthfeel with good acidic structure. Prolonged finish.

The winery

Miguel Torres Chile was the first foreign winemaking company to establish itself in this country of the Southern Cone. The Torres family, a centenary saga with a presence in the Spanish denominations Penedès, Priorat, Catalunya, Costers del Segre, Conca de Barberà, Ribera del Duero, Rueda, Rías Baixas, and Rioja, made the leap to the New World in 1979 to start a new project in the Curicó Valley, attracted by the great winemaking potential of Chile.

Currently, the company owns more than a thousand hectares of vineyards, distributed across plots with diverse climatic and soil characteristics, enabling the cultivation of different varieties and producing highly expressive wines with intense varietal character. Miguel Torres Chile has fully consolidated its position in the country, and its wines are now present in over a hundred other countries. Since 2010, Miguel Torres Maczassek, a member of the fifth generation of the family, has held the presidency of the company. Among his objectives are increasing exports and maintaining the company’s successful trajectory, marked by innovation and a commitment to organic farming and fair trade.
