General Information

The Herrero Vedel brothers present the latest vintage Pour Janine Vedel Sauvignon Blanc 2022, the only one of their wines not made with verdejo. The French grape originating from the Loire, sauvignon blanc, solely dominates this white wine, conceived in homage to the matriarch of the family, an essential figure who passed on to her offspring all her knowledge and unwavering love for the world of wine.

Pour Janine Vedel Sauvignon Blanc 2022 is also the result of a strict selection of the best fruits and precise winemaking, which included the pre-fermentation maceration of the grapes and their fermentation in stainless steel tanks, at controlled temperature and with fine lees. Discover this excellent white wine from Castilla y León and enjoy it both as an aperitif and to pair with all kinds of fish and seafood, spicy or seasoned dishes, or goat cheese.

Tasting notes

Of a beautiful golden color.

On the nose, it stands out for its elegant aromas of white flowers, tropical fruits (fresh pineapple, guava), and stone fruits.

An enveloping, round, broad, fresh, and delicate palate.

The winery

Herrero Bodega is a small family-owned winery run by the Herrero Vedel brothers. Based in the town of Nieva, the winery manages 40 hectares of vineyards, mostly of the verdejo variety, spread across this municipality and the towns of Nava de la Asunción, Santiuste de San Juan Bautista, Aldeanueva del Codonal, Moraleja de Coca, Codorniz, and Aldehuela del Codonal, in the Segovian part of the D.O. Rueda.

The selection of the best musts, strict control during their fermentation, and the pursuit of excellence in organoleptic criteria allow Herrero Bodega to offer a range of wines of the highest quality, combining tradition and modernity to meet contemporary consumer tastes. This is how the four wines they produce are created: the verdejos Erre de Herrero, Atino, and Robert Vedel, as well as the sauvignon blanc that pays tribute to the owners' mother, Pour Janine Vedel.
