Paco & Lola Albariño 2024 is made entirely from Albariño grapes grown in the Salnés Valley, one of the best parts of the D.O. Rías Baixas. It's a carefree, enticing wine with a minimalist, naive image. Its carefully crafted appearance matches the quality of the wine it contains, which has picked up a number of international awards. It's made from the free-run juice of grapes selected from the winery's best vineyards. Fermentation took place in stainless steel at 16ºC for 21 days, and the wine was matured on the fine lees until stabilisation and bottling.
Adega e Viñedos Paco & Lola is a winery founded in 2005 by the Sociedad Cooperativa Vitivinícola Arousana. It's the most important cooperative in the D.O. Rías Baixas, made up of more than 430 members who own 220 hectares of vineyards in the Salnés Valley. These extraordinary wine-growing assets are divided into more than 2,000 small plots – typical of this area of Galicia, where smallholdings are the norm. The wines are made under the guidance of the renowned winemaker Cayetano Otero.
The Salnés Valley is one of the five sub-zones of the D.O. Rías Baixas, and the most important, as it accounts for approximately 70% of the total production of this D.O.
The white wine Paco & Lola Albariño 2024 is ideal for pairing with all kinds of appetisers such as pâtés, foie gras, cold meats and smoked fish. With meals, it goes well with seafood, fish such as baked sea bream or Asian dishes such as prawn dim sum.
