General Information
Orben 2020 (100% tempranillo) is the result of a selection of micro-plots of old vineyards, planted between 1945 and 1954, located in the surroundings of Laguardia (Rioja Alavesa). The harvest was carried out manually in small 15 kg boxes. The malolactic fermentation took place in new barrels and stainless steel tanks. Finally, the wine was aged for 12 months in fine-grained French oak barrels.
Founded in 2005, Bodegas Orben is a splendid project located in the most privileged area of Rioja Alavesa, in the surroundings of Laguardia. A modern winery integrated into the Artevino group, which also includes the wineries Izadi, Finca Villacreces, and Vetus.
Bodegas Orben is committed to wines that rely on the land and seek to exploit the potential of small plots in Laguardia and Villabuena; cultivated with old tempranillo vines. The low yield per hectare and the age of the vines guarantee grapes of excellent quality, with which they produce new-style Riojas, with a lot of fruit, structured, and with very elegant wood, always from French oak.

Bright garnet cherry color. On the nose, pleasant aromas of wild fruits and black fruit, balsamic notes, dairy, soft toasts, and toffee caramel stand out. It is fleshy, structured, and broad. With red, black, wild fruits, and smoky notes. Complex, persistent, and aromatic finish.
