General Information

In Las Mulas Sauvignon Blanc 2023, the French sauvignon blanc variety demonstrates its perfect adaptation to the Central Valley, a Chilean region located between the Pacific and the Andes mountain range. A fantastic young white wine with a tropical and citrusy nose and a silky palate.

This is a safe bet from Miguel Torres Chile, which in previous vintages has garnered prestigious awards, including gold medals at the Mundus Vini Biofach (2016), Korea Wine Challenge (2012), and Concours Mondial Du Sauvignon (2011). Its freshness and aromatic quality, preserved through careful and unpretentious winemaking, make Las Mulas Sauvignon Blanc 2023 an ideal wine as an aperitif and also to pair with baked fish, grilled fish, or fish with delicate sauces.

Tasting notes

Las Mulas Sauvignon Blanc displays a clean pale yellow color.

On the nose, it is dominated by aromas of ripe tropical and citrus fruits.

Silky on the palate, with a good acidic structure and a prolonged aftertaste.

The winery

Miguel Torres Chile was the first foreign winemaking company to establish itself in this country of the Southern Cone. The Torres family, a centenary saga with a presence in the Spanish denominations Penedès, Priorat, Catalunya, Costers del Segre, Conca de Barberà, Ribera del Duero, Rueda, Rías Baixas, and Rioja, made the leap to the New World in 1979 to start a new project in the Curicó Valley, attracted by the great winemaking potential of Chile.

Currently, the company owns more than a thousand hectares of vineyards, distributed across plots with diverse climatic and soil characteristics, enabling the cultivation of different varieties and producing highly expressive wines with intense varietal character. Miguel Torres Chile has fully consolidated its position in the country, and its wines are now present in over a hundred other countries. Since 2010, Miguel Torres Maczassek, a member of the fifth generation of the family, has held the presidency of the company. Among his objectives are increasing exports and maintaining the company’s successful trajectory, marked by innovation and a commitment to organic farming and fair trade.
