Mauro is the great wine of the master of the Duero and former winemaker of Vega Sicilia, Mariano García, who was a pioneer in the early 80s with a wine model that emphasized the terroir. Mariano García has established himself as a global figure; and Mauro as one of the most anticipated references each year. The time has come for you to enjoy this great wine twice as much with the 150 cl format: Mauro Magnum 2021.

Over the years, Mariano García has established himself as a global figure in winemaking, and his first wine outside Vega Sicilia, Mauro, has become one of the most anticipated wines vintage after vintage. Mauro 2021 once again meets the expectations of wine enthusiasts eager for great wines.
It originates from an exceptional quality vintage that produced concentrated, balanced, and refined wines. It is made from vineyards located in the areas of Tudela de Duero and Traspinedo, using the region's star variety, tempranillo (85%), and adding 15% cabernet sauvignon, syrah, and graciano. Its 15-month aging process involves foudres and French oak barrels of different ages.
Mariano García was the winemaker at Vega Sicilia for nearly 30 years. Naturally restless, in the late seventies, he acquired 4 hectares of old vines in Tudela de Duero, which would become the foundation of his first personal project: Bodegas Mauro.
Bodegas Mauro (1980) marked a milestone in Spanish wine due to its innovative approach: wine conceived as a reflection of its environment and terroir, separate vinification of plots, yield limitations, shorter aging periods to enhance fruit expression... Today, Mariano García runs the winery alongside his sons Eduardo and Alberto.
Mauro 2021 is a red wine ideal for pairing with osso buco or cocido madrileño.

Together, they produce the red wines Mauro, Mauro VS, and Terreus, brands so powerful that they do not need the umbrella of a designation of origin. Recently, the white wine Mauro Godello has been added to their catalog.
