The Valsangiacomo winery presents Malvasía de Sant Jaume 2025, the latest vintage of a wine that showcases all the Mediterranean freshness and delicacy. Made from malvasía and merseguera grapes grown in vineyards located in Bélgida, at an average altitude of between 400 and 700 meters above sea level, this white wine represents the revival of the first brand launched by the prestigious Valencian winery in the mid-20th century. Great varietal expressiveness, finesse, and acidity combined in a wine with history, easy to drink.
Malvasía de Sant Jaume 2025 is born in vineyards of Malvasía and Merseguera located in Bélgida, in the Benicaprá and Fasicampo plots, on rugged and undulating terrain between 400 and 700 meters above sea level, with the additional contribution of grapes from the Els Conills plot, where 40-year-old Malvasía vines grow on the slopes of the Chiva mountain range. This inland origin, with a strong Mediterranean influence and viticulture tied to old vineyards, explains the fresh and delicate character that defines Malvasía de Sant Jaume.
A young, dry, and expressive white wine, the result of a coupage that seeks to preserve varietal purity and aromatic liveliness; the presence of Merseguera brings freshness and acidity, while the result maintains a flavorful profile with a long finish, direct and luminous in style.
Reviving its first commercial brand, Malvasía de Sant Jaume 2025 connects with the history of Cherubino Valsangiacomo, a Valencian winery that bottled its first wine in the mid-20th century at its facilities in the Grao of Valencia, under the name Vall de Sant Jaume, a reference rich in memory for the house. A link between tradition and the recovery of a historical legacy that is reflected in Malvasía de Sant Jaume, a wine that highlights Mediterranean origin and identity.
Malvasía de Sant Jaume 2025 pairs very well with rice dishes, white fish, seafood, Mediterranean cuisine, elaborate salads, and vegetable dishes, as well as recipes with mild sauces or slightly spiced preparations; its freshness, floral profile, and crisp finish make it especially versatile at the table.

Valsangiacomo is a fifth-generation family winery based in Valencia. Its origins date back to 1831, when Vittore Valsangiacomo founded in Switzerland what would become the first winery of the family saga. At the end of the 19th century, his son Cherubino Valsangiacomo started a wine export business in Valencia and Alicante, attracted by the logistical and winemaking potential of the area. Gradually, the business expanded with new facilities in Chiva, Requena, Utiel, Monóvar, Yecla, and the Grao de Valencia.
Today, Valsangiacomo produces and markets wine under the designations of origin Utiel-Requena, Valencia, and Cava, while also being one of the most renowned vermouth producers in our country. Their most cherished project revolves around the native red variety bobal, of which they own 10 hectares of century-old vineyards cultivated following the principles of sustainable viticulture. In the winery, these grapes are vinified in raw concrete tanks, resulting in wines of great varietal purity and a distinctive Mediterranean character.
