Malpuesto 2021 is the top wine from Bodegas Orben, the most exclusive project in Rioja by Grupo Artevino. Born from a vineyard over 86 years old, with low yields and great quality despite its poor distribution, this single-varietal Tempranillo captures the essence of the finest wines from the D.O.Ca Rioja.
From the iconic town of Laguardia, Bodegas Orben crafts its fantastic wines, starting with a meticulous selection of micro-plots of old vines, worked and harvested by hand. The subsequent work in the winery, which combines tradition with the latest technical advancements, does the rest, resulting in reds like Malpuesto 2021, a great Rioja with limited production, aged for 15 months in French oak, flavorful, powerful, and complex.

Malpuesto is a wine with an intense and bright cherry color.
On the nose, it features powerful aromas of ripe black and wild fruits with notes of sweet spices and oak.
Broad and structured on the palate, where it is flavorful, very fruity, meaty, and with a creamy and earthy touch. Complex and persistent finish.
The winery
Part of the prestigious Artevino wine group, created almost a decade ago to bring together wineries of unquestionable quality, such as Izadi or Villacreces, Orben is considered the most luxurious winery of the firm. A winemaking house located in the most privileged area of La Rioja Alavesa, Laguardia, it features a modern winery with an L-shaped layout, perfectly integrated into the surroundings and highly functional.
