Produced in Cenicero, in Rioja Alta, by Consejo de la Alta, and a Gold Medal winner at Mundus Vini Lorea Reserva 2022 is a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano with 18 months ageing.

Lorea Reserva 2022 stands out for its classic profile and its careful ageing. Produced by Consejo de la Alta in Cenicero, in the heart of Rioja Alta, it comes from a coupage of Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano, with 18 months in barrels of American and French oak. Its high quality has been recognised with a Gold Medal at Mundus Vini.

The grapes come from vineyards grown in Rioja Alta and Alavesa, in an area marked by the region’s identity and viticulture attentive to origin. The production, limited and very carefully tended, reinforces the character of a wine conceived from balance and fidelity to its provenance.

Consejo de la Alta is a small winery that has made quality and authenticity its way of working. In Lorea Reserva 2022 you can see that philosophy: a patient production, without artifices, that highlights know-how and the most recognisable expression of Rioja.

The winery

The Bodega Consejo de la Alta is a winery located in the La Rioja region, Spain. Its history dates back to 1846, when Don Hipólito Bañuelos documented the production processes and quality of the wines. Currently, it belongs to the CVNE group and has vineyards approximately 35 years old in both Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa, with a predominant variety of tempranillo grapes, along with small quantities of chardonnay, viura, garnacha, and graciano.

It is located in the town of Cenicero, in the heart of Rioja Alta, and employs techniques such as cold maceration and the use of oak barrels sanitized with ozone for the aging of its wines.
