Legaris Sauvignon Blanc 2023 comes from vineyards planted more than two decades ago in the municipality of Peñafiel in Valladolid. These vines are located at an altitude of 750 meters and are cultivated on poor, stony soils with good aeration and drainage. The foreign variety sauvignon blanc has shown good adaptation to the distinctly continental climate of this Castilian area, and this white wine of great aromatic intensity, elegance, and sensational persistence is a good example.
Legaris is one of the most notable wineries in the D.O. Ribera del Duero. An innovative and modern winery that began construction in 1999, becoming a reference for integration with the environment and the vineyard. It has almost 100 hectares of vineyards where it mainly cultivates the tempranillo and cabernet sauvignon grape varieties. An exceptional job of selecting grapes from trusted suppliers and its careful handling of the raw material have earned this firm a reputation for producing wines that wonderfully express the unique character of the area.
Legaris Sauvignon Blanc is the result of a nighttime mechanical harvest followed by the alcoholic fermentation of the must in stainless steel tanks at low temperature. The winemaking process culminated with the wine remaining in contact with its lees to give it volume and aging potential.

Tasting notes
Legaris Sauvignon Blanc showcases a straw yellow color with greenish reflections.
On the nose, it stands out for its great aromatic intensity, with prominent vegetal notes and tropical fruit aromas characteristic of this variety, as well as a certain mineral touch.
On the palate, it is ample and elegant, with a long aftertaste where the aromas distinguished on the nose reappear.

Legaris Winery, part of the Raventós Codorníu group, is located in Curiel de Duero (Valladolid), one of the most privileged areas for cultivating the Tempranillo variety in the D.O. Ribera del Duero. Designed by Domingo Triay, the renowned architect envisioned a building that maintains the connection between the exterior and the interior: the luminous vineyard landscape effortlessly blends into the intimate interior of a winery that is fully functional for the winemaking processes.
