Legaris Moradillo de Roa 2019 is a red wine produced exclusively with Tempranillo grapes from a vineyard located in the Burgos municipality that gives it its name; two hectares at an altitude of 973 meters, with pebble soils, resulting in a unique wine that reflects a very cold climate. An extremely concentrated and distinctive wine, part of the Legaris Vinos de Pueblo range.
Bodegas Legaris is committed to crafting wines that always express their origin, doing so with elegance, good structure, and pleasant concentration. This goal has been achieved in Legaris Moradillo de Roa through a winemaking process that included alcoholic fermentation in an open vat shaped like a 2000-liter lagar, with minimal intervention during the various stages. The wine completed its rounding with 12 months of aging in 225-liter French oak barrels.
With a limited production of fewer than 3000 bottles, Legaris Moradillo de Roa 2019 is a Tempranillo from the D.O. Ribera del Duero defined by its uniqueness and character. A full-bodied red wine capable of balancing the intensity of game meats cooked in sauce or dishes such as Solomillo al Café Royal.
Intense ripe cherry color with dark violet rim, dense and with a high layer.
On the nose, notes of cocoa, blackberries, and ripe black fruit appear with a mineral background.
On the palate, it is an exuberant and very long wine. With great aging potential, it displays a lively tannin characteristic of the area's soil.
