General Information

Talking about LAN is talking about one of the most iconic wineries in Rioja and, undoubtedly, one of the brands that has contributed to the rise and recognition of the region both nationally and internationally. For this reason, a decade of vintages later, the wine that occupies the high-end range of Bodegas LAN alongside Culmen returns to the Club.

We present to you Lan A Mano 2020, an artisanal Rioja. With a production of just over 35,000 bottles, this highly personal gem of the Rioja winery is born from the selected clusters of the Pago El Rincón, cultivated by the brand within the Viña Lanciano, in a meander of the Ebro River.

With 51 years of history, Bodegas LAN acts as one of the main pillars of Rioja wine, being one of the most recognized wineries by international consumers, largely due to its excellent quality and consistency, as well as the significant reach of its distribution across the globe. Behind these renowned Rioja creations, the Portuguese company Sogrape currently stands as the main shareholder of the brand. Sogrape is also the owner of one of the pioneering wineries of the Rías Baixas Denomination of Origin, Santiago Ruiz, and the iconic Portuguese rosé Mateus Rosé, among others.

Tasting notes

It displays an attractive intense cherry red color with a very good layer.

It reveals a complex and expressive nose, highlighting aromas of red and black fruits, mineral, balsamic, and spicy notes along with floral hints (violet), cocoa, and liquor-filled chocolate.

On the palate, it shows good structure, being broad, flavorful, and very well-balanced; it also enjoys good acidity that provides freshness and a noble tannicity. Its finish is of good length, endowed with hints of fine woods.
