O Gran Mein 2021 reflects the varietal richness found in the winery's terraces, as its composition includes seven native grape varieties. A great aged white wine that stands at the top of Ribeiro's quality pyramid. Presented in magnum format (150 cl) to enjoy twice as much.

In the varietal composition of O Gran Mein 2021 Magnum, the traditional Ribeiro grape varieties are used: treixadura, godello, albariño, torrontés, loureira, caíño blanco, and lado. The grapes come from the various terraces of the historic Meín plot and other surrounding plots in the Avia valley, and are hand-harvested in 12 kg boxes.
In the winery, cluster selection is carried out followed by whole cluster pressing. For the smaller plots, the grapes are manually foot-stomped. Each variety and each plot is vinified separately, and only the first musts become part of this great white wine. After aging for 12 months in stainless steel tanks, concrete, oak, and glass demijohns, the wine is bottled and spends an additional 12 months refining in the winery before being released to the market.
Ribeiro is a historic white wine production area, with a glorious past and a very promising present. Alma Carraovejas, a company led by Pedro Ruiz, whose parent company is the prestigious Ribera del Duero winery Pago de Carraovejas, has arrived here.
Located in Leiro (Ourense), the Viña Meín – Emilio Rojo project was born in 2019 after Alma Carraovejas found an opportunity between these two benchmark Ribeiro wineries to highlight the uniqueness of this land of smallholdings. The 2019 vintage was the first to begin work, vinifying each plot separately to respect the character of the terroir as much as possible. The winery is strongly committed to soil biodiversity and environmental care, working the vineyard under an ecological philosophy and reviving traditional viticulture techniques in the area.
This O Gran Mein 2021 is presented in magnum format (150 cl) for double the enjoyment.
