Fontana Cuvée Isabelina 2022 is a high-altitude red wine resulting from a balanced coupage of tempranillo and cabernet sauvignon, sourced from organic vineyards located between 750 and 800 meters above sea level. Clay-limestone soils, sustainable management, and 18 months of aging in French oak barrels shape a deep, balanced wine with an authentic expression of the Manchego terroir.

Fontana Cuvée Isabelina 2022 is born on the 400-hectare estate of Bodegas Fontana, located in Fuente de Pedro Naharro (Cuenca), within the D.O. Uclés. The vineyards, planted on clay-limestone soils and managed organically, are situated at an altitude of 750 to 800 meters, where temperature fluctuations favor a slow and balanced ripening. The tempranillo and cabernet sauvignon varieties are worked by parcels, respecting biodiversity and aiming for a pure varietal expression that results in a concentrated, fresh, and characterful wine.

Harvesting is done manually with selection in the field. Each variety is destemmed, crushed, and fermented separately before completing malolactic fermentation. Subsequently, the wine ages for 18 months in 300-liter French oak barrels, refining tannins and adding aromatic complexity. After bottling, it rests in the cellar to achieve greater harmony.

Bodegas Fontana, owned by the Cantarero family and with more than thirty years of experience, has evolved from bulk production to wines with a marked identity thanks to the collaboration with Peninsula Vinicultores and a technical team led by Andreas Kubach MW. Their philosophy is based on sustainability, authenticity, and a precise interpretation of the terroir of the D.O. Uclés, values that are clearly reflected in Cuvée Isabelina.

Fontana Cuvée Isabelina 2022 pairs excellently with red meats, stews, aged cheeses, and spiced dishes that complement its structure and depth.
