This market novelty is destined to succeed, like everything this century-old firm lays its hands on. Finca Vallejo Verdejo 2024 is made from Verdejo grapes selected from unique vineyards located in Rueda, La Seca and Alaejos. Freshness and fruitiness are its distinguishing features.

Finca Vallejo Verdejo 2024 is a single-varietal created with grapes selected from unique vineyards located in the municipalities of Rueda, La Seca and Alaejo. The grapes were harvested at night to ensure that they reached the winery in optimum condition. On arrival, the grapes were gently pressed in order to preserve the primary aromas of the Verdejo variety. The must obtained was transferred to stainless steel tanks where fermentation took place at a controlled temperature.
Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España (CVNE) is something of an institution in the international wine world. A leading name outside the country, it’s proud to champion the full potential of Rioja wines. In fact, it was one of the first companies to bottle and export wines in Spain. Nowadays, it’s a winemaking group with several firms that share the same philosophy: to produce outstanding wines.
Its subsidiary in Castile is Bodega Bela, founded in 2018 in Villalba de Duero (Burgos). The name of this firm is a tribute to the daughter of one of the founders and the great-grandmother of CVNE’s current managers: Sofía, who was known to the family as Bela. It’s a cutting-edge winery with a surface area of 6000 sq m and a large barrel cellar. It produces red wines under the D.O. Ribera del Duero and also white wines under the D.O. Rueda.
Finca Vallejo Verdejo 2024 (D.O. Rueda) is ideal with risotto with seasonal mushrooms or tagliatelle with clams.
Greenish-yellow colour.
Highly aromatic and with marked notes of fruits such as mango, peach and grapefruit, enhanced by hints of spices and herby aromas.
Smooth and elegant on the attack, with a perfect balance between acidity and bitterness and a long finish marked by balsamic notes.
In 2017, the Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España (CVNE) fulfilled the desire to honor the founders of the winery from 1879 by launching the Bodega Bela project in one of the most sought-after areas of the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin. This winemaking house, far from its native Rioja, began with an exceptional viticultural heritage of 82 hectares of vineyards, mostly of the tinta del país or tempranillo variety, spread across the Villalba de Duero and Moradillo de Roa regions. Two very distinct areas that contribute complementary attributes to the wines: more structure in Moradillo de Roa and more freshness in Villalba de Duero. A venture that was forged after more than a decade of acquiring these coveted vineyards.
Bela was the affectionate nickname given to Sofía, the daughter of CVNE co-founder Eusebio Real de Asúa, and the great-grandmother of the current leaders of the company. It is a cutting-edge winery with a surface area of 6,000 m² and a large barrel room with a capacity for 10,000 casks.
In 2024, it became one of the highlights of the Spanish wine world when the prestigious publication Wine Spectator selected Bela Crianza 2021 as the only Ribera del Duero wine in its Top 100.
In recent years, Bodega Bela has embarked on its adventure in the neighboring D.O. Rueda, where it is producing verdejo whites that are sure to make waves.
