General Information
Emina Verdejo 2024 is a white wine produced in the Denominación de Origen Rueda by Bodegas Familiares Matarromera, owned by Carlos Moro. Rueda wines have become a benchmark for high-quality white wines produced in Spain. They are made with a native grape, verdejo, which offers the possibility of producing quality wines at unbeatable prices. Bodegas Familiares Matarromera recognized the potential of Rueda and initiated a project in Medina del Campo that combined a winery equipped with the latest technology, reliable vineyards to ensure maximum quality, and the experience of its previous projects. This is where modern and fresh wines like Emina Verdejo are born.
Emina Verdejo 2024 is made from estate-owned vineyards located in the Las Marcas estate, in Villalba de Adaja (Valladolid), on sandy-loam soils. As a result of a long research project, Emina Verdejo is the winery's first wine to ferment with a native yeast, meaning one derived from the vineyard itself. The result is a truly unique 'rueda', with a distinctive touch of tropical fruits. After fermentation for 10-14 days in stainless steel tanks at 16 ºC, it matures on its lees for 3 months.
Bodegas Familiares Matarromera is one of the essential winery empires on the international scene. From Ribera del Duero, the company has expanded its reach along the banks of the Duero River and has even ventured into Rioja. Behind this company is entrepreneur Carlos Moro, a man who has managed to position each of his projects as leaders in their respective denominations.

Emina Verdejo es un monovarietal de color amarillo pajizo con reflejo verdoso, limpio y muy brillante. En fase olfativa, es un vino de alta intensidad, con aromas de maracuyá, pomelo, piña o hinojo. En boca es un vino estructurado. Presenta una excelente longitud y equilibrio entre las sensaciones frescas de la acidez con elegante amargor de la variedad verdejo e intensos sabores de frutas tropicales, vivos cítricos.

In the D.O. Rueda, it established itself in 2007, the year it built the Emina Rueda winery near the town of Medina del Campo (Valladolid).
