From Medina del Campo, Bodegas Familiares Matarromera, led by Carlos Moro, is pleased to present one of the best sparkling wines produced by the firm under the Denomination of Origin Rueda, Emina Espumoso Brut Nature. An ideal wine for celebration.
In the nearby town of Villaba de Adaja, the heart of the Castilian production area, the company of Carlos Moro controls one hundred hectares of vineyard, where the native verdejo predominates over the minority chardonnay, viura, and gewürztraminer.
This unique sparkling wine comes from there, carefully crafted using the traditional champenoise method. For it, the best verdejo grapes have been selected, which, once processed, spend at least 12 months in the bottle to achieve perfect quality for enjoyment.
Straw yellow color with green-lemon reflections and fine bubbles that form a continuous and dynamic rosary. Once on the surface, a persistent crown forms around the edge of the glass.
The aromas of this wine are reminiscent of tropical fruits, citrus, yeast, and lactic tones accompanied by hints of fresh pastry.
Very fresh on the palate, this wine enjoys a pleasant passage, balanced acidity, and extraordinary equilibrium.
Integrated into the society Bodegas Familiares Matarromera, Emina is one of the Spanish brands that best embodies the concepts of innovation and sustainability. Emina produces wines in three Castilian appellations: Ribera del Duero, Rueda, and Cigales.
In the D.O. Rueda, it established itself in 2007, the year it built the Emina Rueda winery near the town of Medina del Campo (Valladolid). Here, it produces white wines with verdejo and sauvignon blanc grapes—wines that prioritize fruity expression and are born from meticulously cared-for vineyards.
This is a winery always at the forefront of sustainability, holding the SWfCP Plus certification and being the first to measure the carbon footprint of one of its wines, specifically Emina Verdejo Sobre Lías, which is made with its own yeast. Emina Rueda is committed to wine tourism and offers experiences such as visiting its extraordinary Garden of White Grape Varieties and olive trees.
