Ébano Crianza 2021 (born from an Excellent vintage) is made 100% with tempranillo and aged for 15 months in French oak barrels. Our technical team selected batches from the 2021 vintage to create this final ‘coupage’.
Founded in 2004, Ébano Viñedos y Bodegas owns 43 hectares of vineyards in Gumiel de Mercado and Quintana del Pidio, located in one of the best areas for vine cultivation in the Ribera del Duero region of Burgos. Carlos Gómez, owner of Adegas Valmiñor (D.O. Rías Baixas), arrived at the Duero river basin at the beginning of this century to fulfill his dream of founding a great winery in Ribera del Duero. Thus, in 2004, Ébano Viñedos y Bodegas was born, based in Castrillo de Duero (Valladolid). The winery owns 43 hectares of vineyards, distributed between the municipalities of Gumiel de Mercado and Quintana del Pidio.
Vineyard care is one of Ébano’s hallmarks. Half of the vineyard is planted in bush vines, and the other half in trellis, with yields not exceeding 2,500 and 4,000 kg/ha, respectively. Harvesting is always done manually, and in the winery, they have the most modern technology and a stock of over 400 French oak barrels.
Ébano Crianza 2021 (D.O. Ribera del Duero) is ideal for roast suckling pig or meatballs in sauce.
