Bertrand Sourdais sculpts Dominio de Es La Diva 2018, an impressive red wine of extremely limited production -only 600 bottles were filled-, made from the pre-phylloxera vines of tinto fino and albillo from the Valdegatiles vineyard, the oldest on the estate, planted on sandy and calcareous terraces. A wine of unique breed, with an untamed character, that will evolve in the bottle due to its 'Grand Cru' condition, in the words of the French winemaker.

General Information
At an altitude of 1000 meters, on calcareous and sandy terraces protected by stone walls, lies the enviable old free-standing vineyard that the winery Dominio de Es cultivates in the lands of Soria, following the principles of biodynamic viticulture. There, the pre-phylloxera grapes of the tempranillo and albillo varieties are born, giving rise to the unique Dominio de Es La Diva 2018. An original red wine whose production is limited to only two barrels; well-structured, dense, and profound, with a wild and untamed character, evocative and untamed.
The Frenchman Bertrand Sourdais leads one of the most interesting wineries in the Soria region of the Ribera del Duero. Dominio de Es is his most personal project, started ten years ago after leaving the technical direction of Dominio de Atauta. His oenological expertise, combined with the incomparable vineyard he manages, results in wines at the pinnacle of quality, like this Dominio de Es La Diva.
The winery
Founded in 2011, in San Esteban de Gormaz, Dominio de Es is a young winery born from the passion of the Frenchman Bertrand Sourdais for the lands of Soria and their excellent potential for crafting great wines.
The old pre-phylloxera vines, owned by the winery under the D.O. Ribera del Duero, are distributed across a total of four plots (Llanos del Almendro, La Mata, Valdegatiles, and Camino Olmillos), located at an altitude of 1000 meters. The area's climate, along with the characteristics of a terroir with clayey, porous soils, mixed with limestone and sands from the Duero, fosters wines of very limited production and excellent quality.
