Doix 2017 is made from old vineyards of garnacha and cariñena with low yields. These vines are located on slate slopes, at an altitude of between 350 and 450 meters above sea level.
The philosophy of Celler Mas Doix is based on preserving, maintaining, and caring for their old vines of garnacha and cariñena, planted in 1902 on licorella slopes, along with vines planted later. Respect for the environment, its culture, and its people are the fundamental elements with which they craft their wines. A careful and meticulous process from the selection of the grapes in the vineyard to the aging of the wine in French oak barrels. Passion and perseverance in an optimal terroir for vine cultivation and the availability of limited but excellent grapes in the village of Poboleda, in the northwestern part of Priorat.
Celler Mas Doix is a small family winery that produces wines with care and respect for the vineyard and its surroundings, conveying the distinctive characteristics of Priorat. These wines are the result of their environment, their licorella soil, steep slopes, vineyard orientation, microclimate, and the native varieties garnacha and cariñena.
