Dehesa La Granja 2022 is a red wine crafted with Tempranillo clusters from the 120 hectares cultivated at the Dehesa La Granja estate, a vineyard that has reached its peak quality. Regarding its production, it follows the magical recipe of the Familia Fernández Rivera: Tempranillo and American oak. It is aged for approximately 15 months in barrels within the underground caves of the winery.
Dehesa La Granja is located in Vadillo de Guareña (Zamora), a region without winemaking value until the arrival of Familia Fernández Rivera in the 1990s. Recognizing its great potential, the family acquired this vast property and planted Tempranillo vines sourced from Condado de Haza, their other major winery in Ribera del Duero alongside Tinto Pesquera. The Dehesa La Granja estate features an underground cave of over 3000 m2, where its wines age under optimal conditions.
When the Familia Fernández Rivera arrived in Vadillo de Guareña, few could imagine the immense potential of the vineyard planted by Alejandro Fernández in these Zamora lands. Since its first vintage in 1998, Vinoselección believed in the project and was a pioneer in introducing the first wines born from this estate, cultivated with 120 hectares of Tempranillo variety.
Dehesa La Granja 2022 (V.T. Castilla y León) will be a perfect pairing for rice dishes, grilled meats, red fish, cheeses, and chocolate.
Familia Fernández Rivera has been showcasing the virtues of the tempranillo grape for years. After achieving stardom with Tinto Pesquera (D.O. Ribera del Duero) in their homeland, this family expanded their empire by founding Condado de Haza, also in Ribera del Duero. Shortly after, they established the Manchegan winery El Vínculo and the Zamoran winery Dehesa La Granja.
Dehesa La Granja is located in Vadillo de Guareña (Zamora), an area with no winemaking value until the arrival of Familia Fernández Rivera. Foreseeing its great potential, the family acquired this vast estate and planted tempranillo vines sourced from Condado de Haza. They produced their first harvest in 1998. The estate features an 18th-century underground cave of 3,000 m², where their wines age under optimal conditions. In addition to winemaking, the family dedicates this estate to agricultural and livestock production.
