Codorníu Clásico Rosado, with a Brut dosage, is the rosé version of the most traditional cava from the Codorníu brand. With a blend of three red grape varieties grown in the Penedés region, the exceptional nature of this cava lies in its attractive aromaticity and an intensely extracted color.
To achieve this, the grapes are meticulously monitored in the vineyard, seeking a good level of coloring matter in the skin, considerable acidity, and moderate alcohol content. After separate fermentations and subsequent blending of the monastrell, garnacha, and trepat varieties in different proportions, the resulting wine will spend a minimum of 9 months in the renowned underground cellars of the winery. The production process concludes with riddling and disgorging, followed by the addition of a small amount of expedition liqueur, which will determine the residual sugar content of the cava.
Considered one of the great houses producing wines and cavas, Codorníu is an example of perseverance and development. Since Josep Raventós produced his first bottle of cava in 1872, Codorníu's trajectory has been unstoppable, evolving with new times, adapting production to new market tastes, and always paying homage to traditional winemaking and the history of the winery.
Codorníu Clásico Rosado (D.O. Cava) is the perfect companion for appetizers, pairing with any type of tapa, fried fish, or more elaborate dishes based on rice and bluefish.
Codorníu Clásico Rosado is a cava with medium-high intensity pink tones, with fine bubbles. On the nose, it features aromas of red fruits, jams, and cassis, intermingled with soft notes of pastries and yeasts as a result of its aging in the bottle.
