In the heart of the D.O. Campo de Borja, where Garnacha reigns with character and authenticity, a unique creation is born: Cabriola Edición Especial 2019, an exclusive version of the acclaimed Cabriola, a wine crafted by Bodegas Borsao that has won over critics, receiving outstanding ratings in each of its vintages, such as the 92 points awarded by James Suckling or the 90 points given by Wine Spectator and the Guía Peñín. That is why it is a source of pride that this renowned winery has crafted this limited edition exclusively for us, which is much more than a wine: it is a refined expression of the Aragonese terroir, an ode to the balance between power and elegance, tradition and modernity.
Cabriola Edición Especial 2019 is a masterful coupage of Garnacha, Syrah, and Mazuelo, vinified separately to preserve their varietal identity. At its origin, it is made from vineyards aged between 20 and 60 years, nourished by deeply rooted vines in soils of a stony, conglomerate, pebble, sandstone, limestone, and clay nature. Located between 350 and 700 meters above sea level, these vineyards benefit from an extreme continental climate that promotes slow and complete grape ripening, providing concentration, freshness, and complexity.
Afterward, the wine undergoes 12 months of aging in barrels, with 90% French oak and 10% American oak, which imparts a silky texture, sweet tannins, and an enveloping aromatic complexity.
Cabriola Edición Especial 2019 pairs wonderfully with dishes such as a seafood rice stew or a meat lasagna.

Tasting notes
"
In appearance, it presents a very deep cherry red color, adorned with ruby and garnet reflections that hint at its richness.
On the nose, it reveals an intense expression of ripe red fruits, nuanced by delicate touches of vanilla, sweet spices, and cocoa, a result of its aging in wood.
On the palate, it is an elegant, structured, and balanced wine, with sweet tannins that caress the palate and a long, intense, and complex finish that invites contemplation.
Borsao is the driving force behind the Campo de Borja D.O. (Zaragoza). It was founded in 1958 as a cooperative in the Borja area. In 2001, it merged with other local cooperatives to form the current Borsao. Today, the company manages an impressive 2,260 hectares of vineyards, contributed by 365 winegrowing families. This extraordinary viticultural heritage ensures access to high-quality raw material for every vintage.
The vineyards are located in the vicinity of Mount Moncayo, a terroir characterized by a combination of cold, windy winters and warm, Mediterranean-style summers. This contrast fosters slow, balanced grape ripening.
A champion of the Garnacha variety, the winery also cultivates other grapes and strives to produce wines with distinct character and consistent quality—factors that have made it one of Spain’s most renowned wine brands. Today, its wines are available in over 60 countries and have garnered top-tier international acclaim. A notable example is the inclusion of *Tres Picos* at number 28 on Wine Spectator’s prestigious "Top 100 Wines" list.
The winery’s philosophy centers on preserving the authenticity of the fruit, prioritizing winemaking processes that respect it to the fullest—such as temperature-controlled fermentation and the moderate use of oak to enhance, rather than mask, the grape's character. The result is a range of wines that are ripe, smooth, and rounded; wines with weight on the palate and solid structure, yet, above all, balance.
