Legend has it that none other than Napoleon Bonaparte ever wanted anything other than Chambertin-Clos de Bèze in his glass. Its complexity, breadth, and tannic delicacy continue to captivate the most discerning palates today. The Club offers you the opportunity to acquire one of its most recent vintages, Bouchard Père & Fils Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru 2014, a mythical red wine made from pinot noir grapes sourced from one of the oldest vineyards in France, planted in the 7th century by the monks of the Abbey of Bèze.
After a meticulous manual harvest in 13-kilo boxes and a careful selection process at the winery, the pinot noir was fermented in small vats, then transferred to French oak barrels where the resulting wine aged for 12 to 14 months. Bouchard Père & Fils is one of the foremost guardians of tradition in Burgundy, a region where it is considered one of the oldest wineries, as certified by its founding in 1731. Bouchard Père & Fils Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru 2014 embodies all of its magnificent winemaking heritage, further recognized with excellent reviews and ratings, including 96 and 94 points awarded by the specialized publications The Wine Advocate and Wine Spectator, respectively. Savor it slowly, on its own, or as a luxurious companion to game dishes like venison or strong-flavored cheeses.
