General Information

Beronia Reserva 2019 is predominantly composed of Tempranillo, with a small contribution of Graciano that adds freshness and structure. After controlled fermentation, the wine ages for 18 months in mixed French and American oak barrels, completing its refinement in the bottle, achieving a perfect integration of fruit and wood.

Bodegas Beronia, located in the heart of Rioja Alta, is renowned for its commitment to sustainability and the production of wines that respect the identity of the region. Its vineyards, planted in clay-limestone soils and exposed to an Atlantic climate with Mediterranean influence, provide high-quality grapes that result in balanced, elegant wines with aging potential.

The 2019 vintage was characterized by a balanced vegetative cycle and perfect ripening, which resulted in high-quality grapes and wines with structure and elegance. Beronia Reserva 2019 pairs perfectly with roasted lamb, vine-grilled chops, or stuffed piquillo peppers and is a safe bet for lovers of the great Rioja classics. Don’t miss it!

Tasting notes

Cherry red color with garnet hues, well covered.

On the nose, it is complex and expressive, with noble reduction, highlighting aromas of ripe red and black fruit along with spicy notes and balsamic touches.

With excellent balance, flavorful, pleasant, and mature, fine tannins, and a lively acidity that brings freshness. The finish is long and persistent, with pleasant sensations of balsamic woods.

The winery

Bodegas Beronia

Founded in 1973 by a group of hedonists who formed a gastronomic society, Bodegas Beronia has belonged to the González Byass Group since 1982. A winery with a philosophy based on combining the best of tradition and modernity. Surrounding the facilities, Beronia has its main asset: 25 hectares of its own vineyard, complemented by an additional 870 hectares of controlled vineyards that extend within a 10 km radius, with an average age of 30 years. A magnificent and abundant viticultural heritage that allows it to have quality raw materials every vintage. Significant investment in R&D, respect for the environment, and the continuous renewal of the barrel park are other key characteristics.

Beronia produces different ranges: the Classic Range, consisting of a white, a rosé, and the red wines Crianza, Reserva, and Gran Reserva; the Varietal Range, which includes the only Reserva from Rioja made with mazuelo; the Premium Range, featuring Beronia Selección 198 Barricas, Beronia III a.C., Beronia Viñas Viejas, Crianza Edición Limitada, and the rosé Alegra; and an organic wine. Additionally, Beronia has extended its reach to the D.O. Rueda, where they produce a verdejo white wine and have 65 hectares of their own vineyards.
